We at Stellumthombo believe in transparency. It is part of our value based organisational approach to not conceal any information regarding the governance and financials of our organisation.

With this in mind here is our budgeted income and expenses for the 2018-2019 financial year. As you can notice we have a deficit of R XXXX, which is mainly because we have lost one of our main funders through not fault on our side. With this in mind we would like to call on you to help us to make a difference in the lives of the marginalised, poverty stricken and vulnerable people in Stellenbosch. You can make a contribution either through the website or via EFT.

Stellumthombo is also a registered PBO with article 18 a status, as well as having level one BEE status. A contribution will then not only give you the satisfaction that you are making a difference, but can also benefit you or your organisation in one of there ways.

Straatlig

Straatlig is a project aiming to create a haven for those living the fringes of society, especially those living in poverty. This haven is created by focusing on the caring and personal development of the homeless, destitute and needy people in the Greater Stellenbosch area.  Our vision is to facilitate a process of healing, to restore hope to those that have lost a positive outlook on life and to empower people to live meaningful lives.

BecomingKids

BecomingKids is an early intervention program focusing on high risk children living in the Cloetesville area. This program address the needs of the children through a holistic approach focusing on physical, social and emotional wellbeing of each individual child. The program is based on the philosophy that children needs to be children and strives to create a safe space where they can flourish as individuals.

Beursfonds

The bursary fund gives support to first generation students coming from neglected or broken backgrounds. We attempt to not only give financial support, but also the necessary emotional and social support they need to excel in their studies. This project is based on a mentorship model where we have continuous contact with the students.

Cultivate hope for everybody

We believe that hope is very scarce in our town, country and world, and throughout our projects we strive to cultivate hope in the lives of everybody involved (beneficiaries and volunteers).

Inclusive

Poverty is understood in terms of people suffering from some type of social exclusion. We believe that we need to decrease alienation in our society and through that create equal opportunities for all

Mutual relationships promote sustainable change

We understand that change does not happen overnight. All our programs have an emphasis on individual relationships, and mentorship which is the only way through which we believe sustainable change can happen.
